Join Legacy Fabrics and Gigi's Bra Supply and learn to make Ingrid, a fully supportive nonwired bra in exactly your size!
Very few of us ladies are actually wearing a bra that fits, let alone one that is comfortable. Additionally, everyone's bodies are very unique, and typically don't fit into a size chart, and we are here to make sure you get the comfort and support you deserve! Here you will get help from professional bra makers in everything from getting measured, to adjusting the pattern, to sewing the bra step by step. Take this class and we will teach you the skills to make a custom fitted bra that will last for years! Keep reading to learn more!
In this Ingrid nonwired bra class we will spend 2.5 days together making the bras of our dreams! We will start out by getting sized and measured - and working through any unique fitting issues. This first part is done in a private session where you get to work one on one with our instructors. The Ingrid pattern is also included, and during your fitting you will receive help adjusting the pattern so it'll be perfectly fitted for you! Here we can also make adjustments like adding in a front closure. This is beyond helpful for making more bras after the class! There will also be test bras to try on to judge how you like the different fits.
Then the next two days we will be dedicated to sewing and fitting the bras. And don't worry, the sewing is not very technical. If you are able to set a sleeve into a top, then this bra should come together just fine for you! All the supplies for the bra, including matching threads, and a gorgeous lace fabric comes with the class. For our first bra we will be using easy to see/sew with fabrics - but there are so many different fabrics and bra kits that can be used once you've made your first!
Once you sign up, you will be contacted by Jeannie from Gigi's Bra Supply asking questions that will help make the start of the class and customization of your pattern easier!
Lunch/dinner is not included. There will be snacks and drinks provided though!
If you are interested in taking both the Ruby and Ingrid bra classes, you can take $100 off the total price of the classes! And if you sign up for both classes, while you wait for your Ingrid fitting on Thursday, you can sew up another Ruby! There will be kits available for sale… And, if you have questions, the instructor will be available to help!
Schedule:
Thursday Feb 13th: Private fitting and measuring sessions
Friday Feb 14th: Sew day! - and Valentine goodies!
Saturday Feb 15th: Sew and finish day!
More about the bra Pattern:
Bra Pattern, Ingrid Non-Wired Bra Pattern is an integrated bridge pattern with a split lower cup. The side and front panels help keep the breasts forward yet separated. Over 200 sizes from BCD 2.75 to BCD 9.0
Bra Pattern, Ingrid Non-Wired Bra Pattern is a bra without underwires that supports the breasts with an integrated bridge and a Gothic Arch but without that characteristic collapse of the center-front that is common in other non-wired bras. The split lower cup and the front and side panels keep the breasts directed forward yet still separated. The unique power net front panel helps keep air flowing in the central core between the breasts.
Bra Pattern, Ingrid Non-Wired Bra not only provides great support elements in a larger size non-wired bra, it also has the option of a zip front closing or a hook and eye front closing. It is also extra comfortable with the use of wide waistband elastic instead of the standard bottom band elastic. The basic design uses duoplex & cut and sew foam.
Pattern Sizes:
This pattern uses a unique sizing system, called the Bottom Cup Depth Sizing Method (BCD). All BCD sizes from 2.75 through 9.0 are included in this one pattern which offers the equivalent of over 200 ready-to-wear sizes. This includes the “in-between” sizes that ready-to-wear does not carry! If you find yourself outside of this range, no worries, this is why we are here doing this and we will make the pattern to fit YOU!
Class Cancellation Policy: Weather, Unexpected Events, and Travel Tips
Your safety and experience are very important to us. While we will do everything we can to keep classes running as planned, sometimes weather, illness, or unexpected events can cause changes. Here is how we handle those situations:
If We Need to Cancel
If bad weather makes it unsafe to hold the class, or if the instructor is unable to attend because of unforeseen circumstances, we will notify you as soon as possible, usually at least 24 hours before the class starts. In these situations, the class will be rescheduled. You’ll have three options if we need to cancel: join the rescheduled class, work with the instructor in scheduled virtual classes, or get a full refund.
If you need to Cancel
Refunds are available until January 31st. What if you are unable to attend due to illness, weather, or other personal circumstances? Our instructor will be traveling in for the class and your registration fee pays for their trip. If you are unable to attend, we won’t be able to offer a refund, but we’re still here to help! We will ship you the class supply kit and we’ll work with you in scheduled virtual classes to guide you through the class materials. We’ve had great success with virtual classes and will work with you to help you get a great fit.
Travel Tips
If you’re traveling to attend the class, we strongly recommend booking fully refundable or flexible options for hotels, flights, and car rentals. While we hope for smooth sailing, having flexible travel plans can make any unexpected changes easier to handle.
Communication
We’ll reach out about any changes using the contact information you provided during registration. Please double-check your details so we can keep you updated!
Whether we meet in person or work together virtually, we’re excited to help you create a great fitting bra!
