This April, the spotlight is on the ILLUMINÈ Bridal Fashion Show, debuting April 26 2026. Experience the unveiling of ÈLU’s first bridal collection — an evening of artistry, craftsmanship, and modern elegance. This designer is extremely talented and creates such beautiful looks! She's also looking for volunteers if you would like to lend a hand or learn more about KC's fashion industry! Get your tickets below or at the door!
Get Your Scissors Sharpened!
If you've got a pair or two or maybe five scissors that just aren't making the cut anymore, then it's time to get them sharpened! We've got a local scissors sharpener that will sharpen each pair for $10! You will drop your scissors off by Saturday April 18th, and pick them back up on Tuesday the 21st! More info is below!
If you scissors gnaw at your fabric, have a nick in them, or perhaps have been dropped a few too many times, then this is a perfect opportunity to get them whipped back into shape! Tim Dowd, our local scissors sharpener is able to fix back up just about any pair of sewing scissors you have!
He is able to do your typical fabric shears, as well as your embroidery scissors, and even your pinking shears! The cost is $10 per pair of scissors, and the drop off deadline is April 18th.
All you have to do is drop your scissors off at the shop, fill out a small form so we know how to get back in contact with you, and then we will call you once the scissors are finished, that next Tuesday.
If you have any questions about if your scissors are able to be sharpened, you can either bring them in to the shop and we can evaluate them, or if you text or email us a picture of the scissors, we may be able to eyeball it that way. (913)494-2656 or info@legacyfabrics.com
All in all, Scissor Sharpening Drop Off is Saturday April 18th. The cost is $10 per pair of scissors, and the scissors will be sharpened and ready for pick up that next Tuesday April 21st!
