Pecan Brown Slubby Cotton - Hand Dyed and Woven in India - REMNANT SALE

This beautifully hand dyed and hand woven Pecan Brown Slubby Cotton gives you the wonderful texture of linen, but without the wrinkles! This fabric was woven on a 39" loom in a village in India, and while the width is narrow it is well worth the extra thought for the pattern layout! Due to it being woven by hand, the texture and color variation is very unique and changes throughout the yardage. Some places may have more white/creams and some have more brown/tans. Plus, this fabric keeps getting softer the more you wash it, and is sturdy enough for pants and skirts. It has not been preshrunk, and in a test wash it shrinks a little over an inch per yard. Use this fabric to make the Jenna Shirtdress, the Loddon Pants, or even some household goods!
