Organ Needles - Leather Asst 5pk

These Organ Leather needles are used when sewing on leather, vinyl, and other thicker nonwoven fabrics. They have a diamond shaped point (think arrow tip), that helps to pierce through the leather rather than punch it. The resulting stitch holes are cleaner, and it helps the machine sew through these thicker fabrics easier. There are three size 90/14 needles which would be used on lightweight leather and vinyls and then two 100/16 that would be used on medium weight leathers and vinyls. Light weight leather would be like deerskin leather or weights 1-3oz, and medium weight would be closer to fabric backed vinyls or leather 4-6 oz. Any leather thicker than those and you would want to use a size 18 or 20 needle.
