Learn not only how to fit the hat correctly to your head size, but also learn how to sew on a brim! This class is excellent for the beginner who is looking to add some more skills to their repertoire, or the advanced seamstress who is wondering how to correctly shape a hat!
This hat would work well in a wool or plaid flannel, but is also fun in a Kansas City themed print - like the retro KC Pinstriped canvas pictured or a soft velvet or rustic leather!
In this class you will receive the sized flat cap pattern, and step by step help to complete the project! From measuring your head and selecting the right size, to making sure it gets reinforced correctly for the look you want; we help you at every step to make your unique hat!
For this class we provide the sewing pattern, bill, sewing machines, sergers, irons, cutting table, and tools (although if you would like to bring your own you are more than welcome to!). The class cost does not include fabric or thread, but you will receive a 25% discount on all supplies for the class! You will need a 1/2 yard of fashion fabric, 1/2yd of lining, interfacing, 1 yard of bias binding, and less than a full spool of thread for this project.
