If you are new to sewing apparel, or maybe you've done quilts for years and the only thing stopping you from making your own clothes is setting in a zipper, then this is just the class for you!

In this class we will be learning how to sew in a zipper in three different ways. We will be setting in a standard nylon nonseparating zipper (the most common style), an invisible zipper (great for dresses, skirts, trousers and more), and then a lapped zipper (good for thicker fabrics). This way when it comes to the project that you have been wanting to work on, you will be prepared to sew it and will be able to do so confidently!

We will be learning about the best way to pin and baste the fabric, and then how to use the zipper foot attachment on the sewing machine. These will all be done as samples and we will not be making any physical garments. We provide the fabrics, thread, zippers, and sewing machine!

We ask that the minimum age is 8 years old - if you have a kiddo younger we are happy to teach them in a private lesson! Just contact us to learn more!
