You will learn how to take your measurements and translate them into drafting a bodice and skirt. Then we will look at recommended fabrics to make this dress out of. You will leave this class with a pattern, instructions for assembly, and fabric recommendations that you can use to sew up your dress.
Printed worksheets for your future reference will be provided!
Supplies: You will need to bring your own drafting materials. If you don't have these supplies, they are available for purchase at the shop, and there are some available for classroom use as well. These are the supplies: measuring tape, pattern paper, rulers (straight ruler, french curve/hip curve/shoulder curve), paper scissors, and a pencil.
Time: June 20th from 10am-2pm. Feel free to bring something to drink and/or a non-messy snack!
Class Cancellation Policy: Weather, Unexpected Events, and Travel Tips
Your safety and experience are very important to us. While we will do everything we can to keep classes running as planned, sometimes weather, illness, or unexpected events can cause changes. Here is how we handle those situations:
If We Need to Cancel
If bad weather makes it unsafe to hold the class, or if the instructor is unable to attend because of unforeseen circumstances, we will notify you as soon as possible, usually at least 24 hours before the class starts. In these situations, the class will be rescheduled. You’ll have a couple options if we need to cancel: join the rescheduled class, or get a full refund.
If you need to Cancel
Refunds are available until 24 hours before the class. If possible, we will try to reschedule the class at a different date and time to get you in!
Communication
We’ll reach out about any changes using the contact information you provided during registration. Please double-check your details so we can keep you updated!
