This type of elastic is wonderful for helping finish edges of knit fabrics as well as other craft type projects. It works great as a finishing edge for swimwear, sleeve hems and normal hems of sportswear garments, or as a strapping for dancewear. It is very soft, malleable, and has great stretch retention. You can also make garters, baby's headbands, and other décor projects out of it. This is sold by the yard.
