We will learn how to measure ourselves and the pattern correctly to first choose the right size, and then learn how to fit the pattern to ourselves and make adjustments before we move onto the real fabric. After you have the pattern altered for you, then we will move onto cutting out the fabric and sewing the t-shirt up.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eThis class is more about how to fit the pattern and t-shirt to your body than it is on particular sewing skills, however we will still help guide you in the right way to get a professionally sewn t-shirt!\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eYou may bring your own machine(s) for this class, however we do have classroom sergers and sewing machine you may use instead. Please let us know what you would like to do so we can get your table set up accordingly for the class. Depending on what type of t-shirt you would like to make, and your size, you could use between 1.5-3yds of fabric. If you have questions about what to estimate, please ask us or Jan after you have signed up. It is recommended to prewash your fabric before you sew it so we would recommend that if you are going to purchase the fabric from us, come in before the class so you have time to wash and dry it!\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eThis class will use Butterick 6848, and you will create a basic knit tee shirt. After a quick tissue fit of the pattern, you’ll cut your fabric and start sewing your shirt. Once you master this pattern, you can use it to create multiple versions of this timeless wardrobe staple! While we will do everything we can to keep classes running as planned, sometimes weather, illness, or unexpected events can cause changes. In these situations, the class will be rescheduled.
