We will also be making facings for the pattern and be learning how to redraw necklines (you can choose your own!)\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eAfter this class is over, you will have a sewing pattern for a princess seamed dress that is sure to fit you perfectly! You will be able to choose the length of the dress, the style of neckline, and the fit level of the dress. You will learn about how to move darts, truing patterns, marking grainlines, adding fullness, and contouring patterns. These skills will be super helpful as you continue your patternmaking journey either with more classes from Maya or on your own!\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eA sloper is the basic building block of a pattern. It is the starting place of how all patterns are drafted. The sloper is made to measure so that the resulting pattern fits the wearer. You will also need to bring your front and back bodice slopers. If you have a copy of your measurements, this can be helpful to bring as well.
